Among Pakistan's upcoming bridal couturiers, Shiza Hassan is set to showcase a collection of craft led pieces from the influence and spirit of the most notable Persian traditional artwork of woven carpets. This is a tribute to this woven wonderment of over two thousand year old craft that reached its epitome in Iran during the Safavid era; Aroos-e-Abrashami in Persian or 'The Silken Bride' for #PLBW16 is a reinterpretation of this theme with the development of beautiful prints on silk and inspired motifs and stories from this Persian treasure. The underlying stories of the collection entail the Shikargah, Tree of Life & Geometrical pattens. 
There's an abundant use of motifs with hunting scene, vine interlacement, vases, arches, medallions and architectural motifs all having context to the present and past of different tribes and craft centres of that time, This Collection is a desire to evolve and step out from the comfort zone and develop a thematic series with elegance and beauty. This collection is as much contemporary it is on the historical perspective with clean cuts fused with traditional oriental details to create pieces that are ageless. Expect a variety of cuts from jackets, flap shirts, bustiers, flowy drapes, shararas and, lehngas channeling eastern vibes yet retaining modern elegance. The garments are such that they can be styled and worn as separates too.

Is based on a style movement that came about in japan in the 70’s with an EAST meets WEST theme and a radical art inspiration. Lolita is influenced by Victorian fashion and Romantic & Rococco art movements. It is a mix of traditional Japanese elements along with Shiza Hassan’s take on their fusion with, and amalgamation into the international fashion scenario,

The surfaces used in this collection are silks, organza, cottons and leather. Shiza Hassan’s signature digital prints with rich embroideries are employed with varied embellishments to create a truly unique collection.

This collection compromises of floor, sweeping lehengas, voluminous skirts and float silhouettes adorned with pearl and crystal work along with old craft using resham and zardozi. Shiza Hassan has also worked across 3D elements creating added layers and dimension to the patterns.
